![]() ![]() Here is the list of module types that Simple BIble Reader can convert: Therefore, I am looking for a solution to this fact. ![]() The reason I'm asking about the possibility of transferring from mysword to e-sword is that I have a Polish translation of one English-language comment, which is just not available in Polish for e-sword. It's usually the other way around - e-Sword has unique or exclusive resources that MySword doesn't have.Įdited by APsit190, 23 January 2023 - 06:39 AM. MySword doesn't have unique or exclusive resources that e-Sword doesn't have. You see, e-Sword has been around a lot longer than MySword, and so already had the resources available for it. That said, in reality it isn't necessary for one to change MySword resources to work on e-Sword simply because they are already available for e-Sword. Now, when it comes to "converting" MySword resources to e-Sword, as far as I am aware, there isn't a tool available to make that work. Therefore, the amount of resources one could have for MySword from e-Sword was/is quite limited. But this was just limited to third party, and illegal copies of e.g., the NASB and etc. Is it possible to perform such a transfer and how to do it?īasically, usually third party e-Sword resources could work on MySword by simply changing the file extension, e.g., e-Sword's cab.bblx to MySword's. Sometimes they show up in the list of modules but unfortunately you can't see their contents. Please let me know what I should do to make them work properly. What's New in Version 1.I noticed that some modules from the mysword application work on the PC version of s-sword, and some do not. However, Maclear's version is included as a separate commentary module for Mark (Cambridge-Greek-Mark.cmtx). The main commentary module (Cambridge-Greek.cmtx) includes only Plummer's version, because his presentation is much more technical (linguistically) and he provides a more thorough analysis of the Greek. The e-Sword commentary can realistically only include one of the Mark commentaries. Volume 3: Mark, 2nd Series - By: Alfred Plummer, 1914 Two different authors wrote a complete commentary on Mark: When the additional material clearly applied to a specific verse or passage, the material was also included in that verse or passage (in addition to being in the Book Comments).ĭone right: verse by verse comments with Greek/Hebrew words in blue and properly recognized by e-Sword. This material is always included in the Book Comments. Most volumes included appendices, additional notes, or excursuses. Volume 21: Revelation - By: William Henry Simcox Volume 20: 1, 2, & 3 John - By: Alfred Plummer Volume 14: 1 & 2 Thessalonians - By: George Findlay Volume 13: Colossians and Philemon - By: A. Volume 9: 2 Corinthians - By: Alfred Plummer Volume 3: Mark, 2nd Series - By: Alfred Plummer Barber also classifies the scholarship as not as conservative as he would prefer. Barber, who wrote The Minister's Library, says The Cambridge Greek Testament is still valuable for its exegetical comments. Of course, we have learned a few things based on more recent manuscript finds, but that has little to no impact on 95% or more of the comments.ĭr. Very few modern, Greek commentaries trump this set. Each book of the Bible includes a thorough introduction, authorship details, canonicity, reason for its original writing, literary history, and so much more. Anyone who likes studying the New Testament, Greek exegesis, and theological interpretation will find value in this commentary.įifteen of the most distinguished Bible scholars of the time wrote this invaluable resource, including Alfred Plummer, Handley C.G. Verse by verse, the authors frequently used outlines, historical facts from inside and outside the Bible, word studies, and extensive Greek analysis. Compared with other Greek commentaries on this website, Cambridge is more liberal. This is one of the largest Greek commentaries at, with thousands of pages of text which translates into 32+ megabytes of data. Published around the turn of the century, the Cambridge Greek Testament for Schools and Colleges is filled with great exegesis and written by the best British Bible scholars of that era.
